Bids for the purchase of road paving
oil for use by the road and bridge department were opened on February 28th
and taken under advisement for further consideration.
Having considered the bids received
and based upon the recommendation of Gary Bell and John Marr, Road and Bridge
Department, Commissioner Sader moved and Commissioner Hough seconded to award
the bid to Vance Brothers at a cost of $2.48 per gallon for MC-30 and $1.98 per
gallon for MC-3000. While this was not
the lowest bid, it was considered the most advantageous because Vance Brothers
waives the minimum load requirement and pump charges. The motion passed unanimously.
